Description
The Canadian Forces C7 bayonet with scabbard is a military-issued edged weapon designed for use with the C7 rifle, the Canadian variant of the M16 platform. Manufactured by Eickhorn Solingen
in Germany, the bayonet features a 6.7-inch (17 cm) blade made from high-grade stainless steel. The blade is coated with a black non-reflective finish to minimize visibility during field operations.
Its handle is constructed from durable, ergonomically contoured synthetic material, providing a secure grip in adverse weather and operational conditions. The bayonet mounts to the rifle using a standard M16-type bayonet lug, ensuring compatibility with the C7 and related rifle variants.
The accompanying scabbard is made from rugged polymer and incorporates both an integrated sharpening stone and a wire-cutting capability when paired with the bayonet. Issued to Canadian Armed Forces personnel, the C7 bayonet and scabbard system reflects the practical, multi-role design philosophy of modern military field knives, supporting combat, utility, and survival tasks.
